The client asked for a compact and efficient house for his small family, using Romanian traditional construction methods and materials - earth and wood. 

The house is placed on the same axis with the landmarks of the site - the fountain and the tree - with the main facade cut in order to embrace them.

The proposal maximizes the efficiency of the house by using sustainable materials, a compact and flexible organization, as well as the orientation of the rooms in relation to the sun. 

Inside, we created a warm atmosphere in strong relation with the surroundings, while from outside the house appears opaque and massive, protecting the intimacy of the interior behind thick rammed earth walls.
