VATRAA was commissioned to design three row houses on a quiet residential street in Bucharest. The design is inspired by the local surroundings, where houses are set back from the street and feature lush front gardens. Each house includes a private parking area concealed by retractable galvanized steel doors, and is accessed through an alleyway shaded by a vine-covered pergola. The front and back gardens are connected by a side garden, allowing natural light to brighten the middle of the house.
Inside, each room offers a view of a different garden, enhancing well-being and providing a sense of protection while maintaining a connection to the outdoors.
